Servings: 4 servings
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 boneless pork chops
- 1 teaspoon sea salt, or to taste
- ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup honey
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped, for garnish
Pork Chops
Season the boneless pork chops with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper on both sides.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet set over medium-high heat.
Once the oil is hot, add the seasoned pork chops.
Sear the pork chops for about 4 to 5 minutes on each side or until they're nicely browned and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 145°F.
Transfer the cooked pork chops to a plate and cover them with foil to keep warm.
Honey Garlic Sauce
In the same skillet, add the unsalted butter.
Once the butter has melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant, stirring frequently.
Whisk in the honey and soy sauce, and let the sauce simmer for about 1 to 2 minutes, until it slightly thickens.
Drizzle the honey garlic sauce over the cooked pork chops.
Garnish with the chopped fresh parsley and serve.
- Choosing Pork Chops: This recipe uses boneless pork chops. If you opt for bone-in chops, remember they'll need a bit more cooking time.
- Honey: Use your favorite honey. The flavor of the honey you love will shine through in this recipe.
- Checking Doneness: A meat thermometer is essential to ensure your pork chops are perfectly cooked. Aim for an internal temperature of 145°F.
- Avoid Overcooking: Keep an eye on that meat thermometer! Overcooking pork chops can lead to a dry texture.
- Resting Time: Let the chops rest while preparing the sauce. This pause allows the juices to settle, enhancing the flavor and juiciness.
