For the Chicken Wings

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • ½ tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon fresh ground black pepper

For the Mango Habanero Sauce

For Serving

  • Celery sticks and/or carrot sticks
  • Bleu Cheese dressing and/or ranch dressing


  • Preheat oven to 425˚F.
  • Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper, and lightly grease with cooking spray; set aside.
  • Separate the wings into three pieces; that is, cut every piece at the joint. Discard the wing tips.
    You can also buy precut chicken wings.
  • In a large bowl or ziploc bag combine flour, baking powder, onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Add the wings to the flour mixture and toss around to coat the wings evenly.
  • Transfer wings to previously prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 40 minutes, flipping them halfway through cooking.
  • In the meantime prepare the Mango Habanero Sauce.
  • In a large cup or bowl whisk together the mango nectar, melted butter, Frank’s Hot Sauce, Chile Habanero sauce, and sugar; whisk until thoroughly combined.
  • Remove chicken wings from oven.
  • Add wings to the prepared sauce and toss around to coat.
  • Transfer wings to a serving platter.
  • Serve with celery sticks and bleu cheese dressing.
