FROZEN BERRY MARGARITAS

This summery, berry-blasted Margarita recipe combines mixed berries with mint, citrus, triple sec, and tequila.

Ingredients

  • 6 limes, juiced
  • 1 cup blanco tequila
  • cup triple sec or cointreau
  • 4 cups mixed frozen berries
  • 1 cup crushed ice
  • cup roughly chopped fresh mint leaves
  • 2 tablespoons agave nectar, use only if you like a sweeter drink, you can also use honey
  • Lime wedges, for rims
  • Sugar or salt, for rims

Instructions

  • In a blender combine lime juice, tequila, triple sec, berries, ice, mint, and agave nectar (if using); process until completely blended.
    Add more liquid, if needed. If you want a thicker margarita, add more ice and process until blended.
  • Taste and adjust. Add more sweetener, if needed.
  • Run a lime wedge around the rim of 4 margarita glasses. Dip the rim in salt or sugar.
  • Pour frozen berry margarita into glasses.
  • Garnish with mint leaves and slices of lime.
  • Serve.
