Muddy Buddies
Muddy Buddies are an easy, crunchy snack prepared with cereal, chocolate, salty peanut butter, and a light dusting of powdered sugar.

Ingredients
- 8 cups Chex Mix cereal, any type you prefer
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chunks
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter, at room temperature
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- Place cereal in a large mixing bowl.
- Place the semisweet chocolate chunks, peanut butter, and softened butter in a large, heat proof mixing bowl.
- Place the mixing bowl over a saucepan with about 2-inches of simmering water. Turn the heat to low and stir until the ingredients are completely melted and blended together.
- Add the sea salt and vanilla to the chocolate mixture and stir well to combine.
- Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal, and stir gently with a spatula to evenly coat.
- Pour in the powdered sugar, and toss to coat.
- Serve, or store until ready to serve.
