THE BEST  PECAN PIE

A Southern Classic

Making pecan pie is a very simple process, and the gooey, sticky, crunchy result is so worth it!

Place the pie crust in the oven and bake for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and set aside.

Bake the Crust

Cook the butter, sugars, and maple syrup in a saucepan until the sugar is dissolved.

Make the Syrup

Let the syrup cool completely, then beat in the eggs.  Sprinkle toasted pecans over the crust, then pour the syrup on top.

Assemble

Arrange the decorative pecans on top.  Bake for 40-50 minutes, until the edges are set.

Bake the Pie

Cool the pie completely before cutting and serving.  This pie is a holiday favorite!
