Equipment

Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in pork chops
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika, sweet or smoked
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  • Pat dry pork chops with paper towels.
  • Brush pork chops with olive oil; set aside.
  • In a small mixing bowl, stir together brown sugar, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder and onion powder.
  • Rub the dry mix all over the pork chops. Transfer pork chops to a resealable bag or mixing bowl; cover and refrigerate for 2 hours, and up to 24 hours.
  • Preheat an outdoor grill to 400˚F - about medium to medium-high. Rub your grill grates with oil.
  • Remove pork chops from bag. Spray with cooking spray or add a drizzle of olive oil.
  • Transfer pork chops to grill; grill, covered, for 7 to 10 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 145˚F. Do not overcook.
Please use an instant read thermometer to check for doneness. Thicker pork chops will need longer to cook.
  • Remove from grill; let stand 5 minutes.
  • Serve.
