These Chicken Bacon Ranch Sliders are the perfect game-day snack, or enjoy them any time! Tender bites of shredded chicken are paired with crisp, crumbled bacon, wrapped in creamy Ranch dressing, topped with lots of melted cheese, and served on toasted sweet rolls.
This easy chicken bacon ranch sliders recipe is a favorite appetizer (who doesn’t love loads of cheese, bacon, and chicken?). It can also work as lunch or dinner, rounded out with a salad or a plate of fries.
Why You’ll Love This Chicken Bacon Ranch Sliders Recipe
- So cheesy. There are three kinds of cheese featured in this recipe: cheddar, Provolone, and Parmesan combine to make these sliders into something irresistible.
- Flavorful. Say “ranch dressing,” and you’ll instantly become the most popular person at the potluck! The tangy addition of ranch dressing to these sliders plays perfectly with the salty bacon and sweet rolls.
- Fun. One of the reasons I love sliders is that they deliver just enough to satisfy you in a fun, handheld little sandwich!
What You’ll Need
Grab a package of Hawaiian rolls on your next grocery run, and you’ll be well on your way to making this slider recipe! Here’s an overview of the rest of the ingredients you’ll need. Don’t forget to scroll to the recipe card at the end of this post for the full ingredient amounts.
- Hawaiian Rolls – Sweet, soft Hawaiian rolls are perfect for these sliders, or you can use any small rolls of your choice.
- Butter – Use unsalted butter for this recipe.
- Garlic
- Fresh Parsley – For a little green garnish.
- Salt – Fine-grain sea salt is my favorite salt to use.
- Chicken – You’ll need about 4 cups of shredded chicken.
- Bacon – Crumbled, crisp bacon adds flavor and texture.
- Ranch Dressing – Use your favorite brand of ranch.
- Cheese – Provolone and cheddar cheeses add texture and flavor.
- Parmesan cheese – To garnish.
How to Make Chicken Bacon Ranch Sliders
- Prepare. Preheat the oven and prepare a baking pan.
- Make melted butter. Whisk the melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley.
- Brush. Cut the Hawaiian Rolls in half horizontally, place the bottoms in the baking pan, and brush with the butter mixture.
- Add chicken. Arrange the shredded chicken and bacon evenly on the rolls.
- Drizzle. Now drizzle the ranch dressing over the top of the chicken and bacon.
- Add Provolone. Arrange the Provolone cheese slices over the chicken.
- Add cheddar. Layer the cheddar cheese evenly over the Provolone.
- Top. Add the top half of the rolls over the layered ingredients.
- Butter. Brush on melted butter mixture and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake. Place sliders in the oven and bake until the cheese is melted.
Tips for Success
- Use store-bought rotisserie chicken. I like to make the chicken breasts for this recipe. You can also buy a rotisserie chicken and shred it up. Or, save leftover roast chicken for turning into sliders!
- Try any type of roll. Kings Hawaiian rolls are my favorite to use in this recipe because they are soft and have a hint of sweetness. However, you can use any rolls you prefer instead.
- Other cheese. You can use sharp or mild shredded cheddar for the sliders or try other cheeses, such as Monterey Jack or mozzarella.
- Another protein. Take this general idea and substitute another protein for the chicken. You could try turkey (this is a fantastic way to use up any leftover holiday turkey!) or shredded pork.
Serving Suggestions
Chicken bacon ranch sliders are a great appetizer – serve them for all game-day occasions, potlucks, or enjoy a few for lunch or dinner. Add them to the table with a platter of Homemade Pigs in a Blanket and Mac and Cheese Bites. Serve a hot bowl of my Creamy Leek and Potato Soup or Easy Cream of Asparagus Soup with the sandwiches. A side of my Mexican Street Corn Salad or Avocado Tomato Salad are nice choices. Pair these cheesy sliders with fresh Garlic Fries! Or make one of my veggie fries recipes, like crisp Air Fryer Zucchini Fries or oven-baked Parmesan Asparagus Fries.
How to Store & Reheat Leftovers
Chicken bacon ranch sliders taste best when they’re fresh and melty hot, but you can save any leftovers for another time.
Store the assembled sliders in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Or, store the filling separately in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days and use it when you are ready to make the sliders. To reheat whole sliders in the oven, transfer them to a baking sheet and warm them on low heat until the chicken is heated through and the cheese is melted. You can also microwave sliders in 10-15 minute increments until warmed, although the rolls won’t be as crisp as when you use the oven.
